This is a very interesting and stimulating site. Well done. I also am fascinated by ambient sounds, and just purchased a CD recorder with a stereo mic. At the hospital where I work there are some incredible soundspaces worthy of recording. The machines that produce the heat, steam and power in the basement all produce incredibly complex noises.
