knowing that it would be nice outside for only a day or so, i called up a few friends and begged them to go have a picnic by the lake after work on tuesday. they agreed, and we set off to grab wine and sandwiches before it got too late.

while sitting by the lake to capture the sound (listen 1) of the water gently gliding over the rocks, i dropped my minidisc bag (luckily without anything in it) into the water. i reached for it, but it was a moment too late.

there were a ton of people. it seems like my idea of getting outside beofre the weather turned cold again was shared by many others. while at the lake we talked to brittney, a 7 years old girl, who i got to spell her name for me (listen 2). she was a hanger-onner and stayed by us to play with my dog and take pictures with j3s' camera. her pictures were pretty good. j3s took a few pictures as well, go see them here.
