05/13/03 19:22 listen

this one is very short, and out of context it is fairly difficult to identify. a parent tells their child to tell another child something and gets a somewhat horrific response. this happens as another boy hits a softball. the first metallic thud is the sound of the softball coming into contact with the aluminum bat. the second metallic ring is the same boy triumphantly throwing the bat on the dirt after he hit the ball.

Interesting. On the few occasions I responded to my parents in that manner, I'd be in much pain.

I can only pick out a small part of what the kid's response is. Do you know it word for word? I'm getting "I told you that... kicked me in my ."

the female (presumably the mom) says: tell her i said we're leaving.
the boy says: i told her that like five times and she kicked me in my jaw.

That's amusing. I just noticed that my "blah blah blah" statements were missing from my previous comment, but I forgot that putting anything in brackets will get eaten like HTML. Duh.
