06/26/03 22:51 listen 1

j3s recently inherited two waterford crystal cordial glasses from a relative and asked me to record the beautiful sound the glasses make when thumped by a finger. we went into the makeshift recording studio (her bathroom) to get away from all other sounds. thumping the glass made a pretty ringing sound. unfortunately, rubbing a wet finger around the rim of the glass with a wet finger produced a barely audible whine. we suspect that it was because the glasses, meant for dessert wine, were too small.

It's too small eh? That had me laughing for a while, I played that back a few times. Highly amused by that.
