listen to the old microwave           & the timer buzzer           listen to the bathroom scale
look at the old scale: up          look at the old scale: down

i'm trying to get around the house noises when i go to visit the homes of my friends. the following sounds are all from steve & olivia's home.

the sound of an old model microwave, the kind of microwave that you stared at and marveled over when it first came into your home. the creaky door closing followed by the sound of hard work is encouraging, it sounds like there is actually a miniature person inside turning a lever that generates the micro waves that cook your food. the sound of a real bell at the end lets you know when the time is up.

the sound of the timer buzzer associated with the microwave.

and the sound of a built in the wall scale coming out from the wall to be stepped on. the needle swings widly back and forth going too high and then dipping too low before finally settling on an acceptable weight.

These are pretty clean recordings. What do you use to capture this stuff?
